Trans Island

Because of tiredness, I decided to post this post today. I went for a 3 day camp on Monday, yesterday just came back.

On Monday, we were supposed to meet at 7.30am, outside ODAC room, but when I was outside the girls’ toilet, around 7pm, the first thing I saw was sec 3 seniors. And the 1st thing I thought was “wow! So fast!” thus, I went to the ladies, have no idea what to do in front of them. After that, no choice, walk damn slow towards them, and I was glad as Leonard was already there. As I have someone to talk to atleast. Afterwards, more and more people arrived. First thing we did was pack what we had, on our hands, inside the bag pack. Afterwards, we gone to the bus which would take us to Pasir Ris park.there are 10 check points, Mangrove Swamp ,Changi Prison, Changi Museum & Chapel, Johor Battery, Selarang Barracks, Chengal Pasir’ Tree Stump, Old Changi Hospital, The Legendary `Changi Tree`, Old Commando HQ and Changi Beach Massacre Site, i arranged them in respective orders – 1-10. and we have to walk from parsir ris to changi ! It’s a long walk! And some more we are carrying a very heavy bag pack. the most interesting place is the mangrove swamp, as there was lots of animals – mudskippers and crabs. Another place was the changi museum & chapel. The museum especially, there wrote the comments of the people last time who survived during the war.

Second day of the camp, because I can’t sleep on Monday until 2++ am, I felt a bit sleepy in the morning. The first thing I saw, when I woke up, was hui jun who was outside the tent, wanting me to take out the stoves and the gas can, which was inside my bag pack. we took a bumboat ride to pulau ubin, when reached, have a long walk to the place where we pinch our tents – mamam beach. There was damn hot, and there are lots of big big so called either mosquitoes or flies. When pinching, one of the tempos spoilt but in the end, haadii, who used one of the odac motto, helped us fixed the tempo. Then we had the amazing race after doing the tents. It was very tired, I drank 1.5 litres during the amazing race, and amazing race basically walked around ubin and finds the place that we are given. After eating dinner, we had solo walk, which I had walked before lots of times during the amazing race. I was damn nervous at the start, before walking inside the dark, but when I walked through the dark, I was not that scared anymore. Very fast, I reached the end of the walk. After the solo walk, mr tan and mr rodrigues have a night hike with the sec 1s . from the end of the solo walk to the forest then to the mamam beach.

Cut short, the third day, as I was extremely tired after the night hike, I slept damn early. And when I woke up, same as reuven, got lots of mosquitoes bites, but not as many as his. We had our breakfast and then we take bumboat ride back to Singapore. I miss the water in Singapore man!!! Then we took a bus to xinmin sec. when reached, we washed the tents, and many other equipment, it was damn cool! The water is like cold. Wow!!! I wanna wash the equipment again, and got to touch the cooling, fresh water! Well, after washing, we had our 1 hour plus lunch. After eating we had to packed the tents; equipment that we had washed earlier. After washing we can go back to our cozy home.
